Dr. Meister has performed 1000s of refractive surgeries since 1984 when he introduced the Russian technique of RK to Northern California, and the first in Northern California to perform ALK - the precursor to LASIK in 1993. Now he and PLEC are the first in Northern California with Custom Cornea.

He was honored by VISX with the 1997 "Star" award, having been among the top 50 in the United States for most number of procedures done in 1997 using the VISX laser. He was a repeat "Star" award winner for 1998, 1999, and 2000 the last year of the awards.

Treatment Procedures:
Dr. Meister uses the LadarVision 4000 with Custom Cornea (Wavefront treatment) and the VISX S3 laser (both with tracking), and performs PRK, LASIK, EPI-LASIK, RK, AK, phakic IOLs, mono and multifocal lens implants, cataract surgery, glaucoma laser treatment and corneal transplants.
